Booking and rental conditions
Before you confirm a rental, we agree the vehicle, dates, price, refundable deposit, included mileage, insurance package, pickup and return details with you. The binding conditions are in the rental agreement. This page states the facts that apply at Masons so you can plan the drive before you book.
Refundable deposit
The deposit is 30,000–100,000 CZK depending on the car. You pay it at handover by bank transfer or card pre-authorization. We return it within 48 hours after a damage-free return. The amount for the car you choose is on that car's page.
Insurance
The price includes third-party liability and comprehensive cover with an excess (typically 5%, minimum 10,000 CZK). The excess can be reduced to 0% for a surcharge. The package you pick also changes the deposit — 100 / 50 / 25 % of the car's full deposit.
Included kilometres
The standard limit is 110 km per day. It can be upgraded to 200 or 500 km per day. Each extra kilometre is charged at that car's rate, shown on the car page.
Leaving Czechia
By default the rental applies within Czechia. Leaving the country is allowed only with prior written consent, decided case by case, and a surcharge for extended insurance. Consent may be limited to countries, routes and dates. Vignettes and tolls are always at the customer's expense.
Fuel
Return the car with the same fuel level as at pickup. We record the level on the handover protocol. A shortfall is charged at the actual refuel cost. We do not publish a fixed handling fee on this page; the rental agreement states how a shortfall is billed.
Late return
Rental length is charged in 24-hour periods from the pickup time. Pickup at 10:00 and return at 10:00 the next day is one day. A late return past the grace period (default 30 minutes) starts a new charged day. Confirm the return time when you book.
Fines and tolls
Traffic fines, parking tickets, vignettes and tolls during the rental are the customer's responsibility. We pass official notices to the named driver on the contract. We do not hold back part of the deposit for 30 days; after a damage-free return we release the deposit within 48 hours.

Can I take the car abroad?
